Your Privacy is Not for Sale.

We practice Data Minimalism. We operate a news intelligence service, not an ad network.

The Short Version

We do not track your reading history. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We built AxonBrief to filter out noise, and that includes the noise of invasive tracking.

What We Collect (And Why)

Because we believe in "Zero-Friction," our data collection is strictly limited to functional necessities:

1. Local Preferences

We use your browser's Local Storage for one purpose only: to remember if you prefer Dark Mode or Light Mode. This data lives on your device and is never sent to our servers.

2. Server Logs

Like almost every website on the internet, our hosting provider (Azure) automatically logs basic technical request data (IP address, browser type, timestamp) to maintain security and prevent DDoS attacks. We do not correlate this data with user identities.

Third-Party Services

Source Links

Our briefs contain links to third-party news sources (e.g., TechCrunch, The Verge). Once you click a link and leave AxonBrief, you are subject to that site's privacy policy. We encourage you to use privacy-preserving tools when browsing the open web.

Hosting

Our infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure. Data processing occurs within secure, enterprise-grade environments.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., "Which topics are most popular?").

  • The Goal: To improve our content pipeline, not to build a profile on you.
  • The Limit: We do not use this data for ad retargeting. We rely on standard IP anonymization features to respect user privacy.

Updates

We may update this policy as we introduce new features (like the Pro tier). When we do, we will communicate clearly what changes and why. We will never quietly change our data practices.
